We at Star Distributing Company, Inc., are a full-service distributor offering an extensive variety of sales,
service, installation, and parts for a complete line of laundry and dry-cleaning equipment. Star Distributing Company
established its expertise and knowledge base through 48 years of constantly accumulating experience since 1958.
Our records cover establishing over two thousand successful laundry and dry cleaning facilities. We cover your laundry and
dry cleaning needs throughout four southeastern states, including Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

 President and Founder of Star Distributing Company, Inc., Durwood R. Davis, has been involved in the laundry industry
since the late 1950’s as a distributor for American Laundry Machinery, Inc. American Laundry Machinery, Inc., was known
as the largest producer of commercial laundry equipment in its day. By 1958, Mr. Davis decided to start his own
distributorship and take on the founding role of Star Distributing Company, Inc., the oldest coin laundry and dry-cleaning
distributorship in the Southeast region under the same ownership.
Since the start of Star Distributing Company, Inc, Mr. Davis’s management team was joined by his two sons
Richard and Michael Davis. Richard and Michael bring 30 years of combined experience in the laundry industry into
this award winning business. We ensure that Star Distributing Company remains one of the most technologically advanced
distributors in the United States. As a whole, the Davis’s have owned and operated more than thirty laundry and
dry cleaning establishments which provide a familiarity advantage with all aspects of the business from the design phase
through the day-to-day operation.

Establishing well over two thousand facilities, the objective of Star Distributing Company has always been to

In the 1970s, Star Distributing Company developed its first concept store, many years prior to the concept stores of today.
In his career, Durwood R. Davis was active in the growth
and progress of the industry by serving on the National Automatic Laundry and Cleaning Council (NALCC) and Coin Laundry
Association (CLA) board of directors for twelve years. The Coin Laundry Association
represents 30,000+ laundry and cleaners through the United States. Mr. Davis served as president, vice president, and treasurer
of these organizations throughout his tenure. During his association with the NALCC and CLA, he had served on many committees
and became chairman of the Distributor Conference Committee, with the responsibility of calling together all leading distributors
throughout the U.S. for educational programs. Throughout almost five decades, the Davis family has been a well-respected
and trusted family in the industry.
